Volatile organic compounds are small, easily evaporating molecules responsible for aroma, flavor and chemical signaling in biological and environmental systems. Because they are present at very low concentrations and readily lost during sample handling, their sensitive and reproducible detection requires specialized techniques. We welcome collaborators to submit samples for headspace volatile compound analysis using our newest LECO GC-MS with SPME headspace capabilities.
