Equipment
The central WCMC facility at the UC Davis Genome Center currently hosts 17 mass spectrometers (6 GC/MS and 11 LC/MS instruments), including seven accurate mass instruments for untargeted metabolomics and three triple quadrupole or QTRAP instruments for targeted analysis of low abundant metabolites.
In the Hammock, Newman and Taha research laboratories, another 10 mass spectrometers are available for comprehensive analysis of metabolism for both targeted and untargeted metabolomics.

Computational and Chemical Resources
The Metabolomics facility is supported by dedicated servers, tools and databases, including a 200 TB mirrored server for raw data storage. The facility stores over 4,500 unique metabolite standards. A range of -80°C and -20°C freezers in addition to grinders, homogenizers, sonicators, incubators, shakers and mixers are available for sample storage and processing.
